Dr. Louise Taber joined Arizona Research Center as Medical Director on May 16, 2011. Dr. Taber is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, a Registered Dietician, Certified Physician Investigator and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research. Taber has investigated over 400 clinical trials specializing in metabolism, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and women’s health.  Prior to joining AZRC, Dr. Taber worked with Pivotal Research Centers (subsequently known as Premier Research Group) serving as Principal Investigator in September, 2007 and Medical Director from January 1, 2008 to May 15, 2011. Dr. Taber speaks French and Spanish.

Dr. Mirela Ponduchi is an Internal Medicine physician with 15 years of experience as a Hospitalist. She graduated from Grigore T. Popa University in Romania and completed her residency at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. Fluent in multiple languages, she effectively connects with diverse patients.

Since 2013, Dr. Ponduchi has been involved in Clinical Research as both a Principal and Sub-Investigator, focusing on improving patient outcomes. She is also a dedicated educator, mentoring medical students.

Outside of work, Dr. Ponduchi enjoys family time, drawing, and painting. Her empathetic approach and dedication make her a respected member of the healthcare community.
