We are currently enrolling patients for clinical studies for the following conditions:
NEW STUDY
Psoriatic Arthritis
Chronic Pain Ø Participants must be 18 to 75 years of age. Ø Participants must have been diagnosed with a chronic pain condition that has been present for at least the past 3 months. Ø Participants must be under a physician's care for the condition that is causing the chronic pain and receiving a prescription pain medication for the chronic pain condition. (Additional eligibility requirements apply)
Ø Participants must be 18 to 80 years of age. Ø Participants must have had type 2 diabetes for at least 3 months. Ø Participants must be treated with metformin and a sulfonylurea (such as: glimepiride, glipizide, or glyburide), and your blood sugar is not well-controlled. (Additional eligibility requirements apply)
Ø Participants must be women 18 to 70 years of age. Ø Participants must have experienced at least 7 hot flashes a day for a minimum of 30 days. Ø Participants must not have had cancer in the last 2 years (other than basal cell carcinoma) (Additional eligibility requirements apply)
Neuropathic Pain associated with HIV Neuropathy Ø Participants must be at least 18 years of age. Ø Participants must have documented evidence of HIV-1 infection. Ø Participants must have HIV-associated neuropathy that began in both feet which last at least 3 months? Ø Participants must not have active AIDS infection (Additional eligibility requirements apply) Ø Participants must be in between the ages of 18 to 75. Ø Participants must have moderate to severe back pain that has been present for several hours a day for the last 3 months. Ø Participants must be taking a prescription pain reliever for the past 5 days/week for the past 4 weeks. Ø Participants must not have an active diagnosis of fibromyalgia. Ø Participants must not have a active or pending Worker’s Compensation claim, insurance claim, disability claim or litigation related to their back pain. (Additional eligibility requirements apply)
Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
¨ Participant must be at least 18 years of age. ¨ Participants must have diagnosed, acute low back pain which has not been present more than 30 days. ¨ Participants must be free for the prior 3 months from most back injection treatment (i.e. Botox, epidural, etc.) ¨ Participants must be free from history of epilepsy or recurrent seizures. ¨ Participants must not have history of severe kidney or liver disease and must not have been diagnosed with cancer in the previous 2 years (other than Basal Cell Carcinoma/skin cancer) Rheumatoid Arthritis or Osteoarthritis with Cardiovascular Risk ¨ Participants must be at least 18 years of age. ¨ Participants must have diagnosed RA or OA for at least 6 months. ¨ Participants must be at high risk for Cardiovascular Disease or have established CVD. ¨ Participants must be long-term, chronic users of non-steroidal non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, i.e. aspirin/ibuprofen, without GI/Ulcer problems in the past 6 months. ¨ Participants must have blood pressure under control and not greater than 140/90. Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy ¨ Participants must be at least 18 years of age. ¨ Participants must have diagnosed, chronic, painful, bilateral diabetic neuropathy in either lower or upper extremities. ¨ Participants must have achieved glycemic control for at least 3 months by diet, oral medications, or insulin. ¨ Participants must be on stable painkiller for DPN and dissatisfied with results. ¨ Participants should be free from any significant medical or psychiatric conditions. ¨ Participants will be male or female outpatients at least 18 years of age. ¨ Participants must not have significant lower urinary tract diagnosis, confirmed by cystoscopy within 2 years prior to screening. If they have not had cystoscopy within 2 years, they must undergo the procedure at screening. ¨ Participants must have had symptoms of Interstitial Cystitis/Painful Bladder Syndrome for at least 6 months.
